University Recreation and Well-Being COVID-19 Community Standards and Expectations:
Please review the following before beginning your workout. We ask that all members follow these guidelines while in our facilities:
Assess Your Health
- If you are exhibiting any symptoms related to COVID-19: fever, cough, chills, shortness of breath, loss of sense of taste or smell, muscle pain, or headache do not come to the Oakland University Recreation Center.
Wash Your Hands
- Hand washing and sanitizing should take place often, including pre and post workout.
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility
Equipment
- In order to promote the health of our members we have enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices in accordance with federal, state and local recommendations.
- Disposable wipes are available. We recommend cleaning your equipment before and after each use. Members utilizing strength equipment are required to clean and re-rack all equipment after use.
- Do not attempt to use equipment that is non-operational or has any sign communicating nonuse for any reason stated by University Recreation & Well-Being.
Modified Activities and Limitations
- University Recreation and Well-Being facility hours are subject to change. We encourage you to check our website for updated hours before you visit.
- Club sports organizations may operate in accordance with Club Sports and university event and activity guidelines.
- Wellness coaching, workshops and programs will be offered in-person with virtual offerings also available.
- The Recreation & Athletic Outdoor Complex Superfield, OU Disc Golf Course and Priority Health Fitness Court are open for individual use from dawn to dusk. Each outdoor space is a use-at-your-own-risk facility. Users should always wash their hands.
